Executive Producer

Carlos Orta, Executive Producer, serves as President and CEO of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility. Carlos Orta was named the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility’s (HACR) President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2006, bringing more than fifteen years of political and corporate experience and a reputation as an influential leader and advocate for Hispanic inclusion.

Recognizing the need for the organization to grow in order to have the greatest impact on fulfilling its mission, Orta worked closely with HACR's Board of Directors and immediately began building on the organization's 20-year legacy by creating, implementing and rebranding several programs and initiatives. Within two years of taking the helm, he launched the HACR CEO Roundtable, the Corporate Directors Summit™, the Corporate Executives Forum™, and the HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers Program™. Over the course of five years, participation in these programs has annually increased by more than 100 corporate executives and revenues increased by nearly 50 percent.

Under his direction, HACR also revamped the HACR Corporate Inclusion Index Survey, which rates Fortune 100 and HACR corporate member companies concerning their Hispanic inclusion in the areas of employment, procurement, philanthropy and governance. Orta was named one of UPTOWN Professional’s “Top 100 Executives in America” in 2011 and 2012.

In addition, he has been included on Latino Leaders Magazine’s list of “101 Most Influential Latinos” for four consecutive years (2009-2013) and earlier this year he was inducted into Miami Dade College’s prestigious “Alumni Hall of Fame.” A graduate of Barry University with a liberal arts degree, Orta has furthered his executive education through completion of UCLA's Anderson School of Business Latino Leadership Program in 2005 and the Harvard Business School's, HACR Executive Program on Corporate Governance in 2006. Prior to joining HACR, Orta worked at Anheuser-Busch, Inc. Ford Motor Company and Waste Management, Inc.
